In early 2020, Nearby Baby gathered an eclectic collection of secondhand chairs, many donated by The Habitat Store, some donated by friends, and all of them, like new parents, in need of some care and attention. These chairs were each lovingly remade by professional artists, doulas, and middle schoolers. The resulting collection was to be debuted and auctioned that May. Like countless other events, COVID postponed that plan until now.
Our beautiful chairs will be on display in local businesses to see and online for bidding from Monday, October 4 to Friday, October 15. Auction winners can pick up their chair at our 3rd Anniversary event at Champion Brewing on Monday, October 18 or arrange for pick up/local delivery.
